We've been having lots of fun...

Oh, Baby!

Thursday, December 10, 2009
That's right, Eric and I are expecting our first baby in June! We are VERY excited! We were VERY shocked at first, but now that the shock has worn off we are SO SUPER excited! Baby is due June 27th. We will be finding out if it's a boy or girl at the end of January, so stay tuned for that post!

So far I haven't felt great, but that's all part of being pregnant, I guess. I was highly disappointed to not be able to participate in the Thanksgiving feast. I think all I could manage to get down was a roll. WHAT A FEAST! A WHOLE ROLL! I am feeling much better now, but still am dealing with a little sickness, only in the morning though, and not all day anymore. Phew!

My pants are all too tight, and so I have to rubber band them. I bought a "b-band" but it did not work for me, it just kept rolling up and not staying where it should. Anyone else have that problem with those things? Anyway, I wear a lot of dresses. Good thing I love all my boots, because I get to show them all off each at work.

The baby is doing great! He/She is growing like it's supposed to. We saw baby a little over a month ago at our first ultrasound, and then we heard his/her heartbeat last week. That seems to make it feel more real.

That's all for now! I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and are enjoying the holidays! This is my favorite time of year!

The Blind Side.

I LOVE going to the movies! However, living on a tight budget, that's about to get even tighter, keeps us from going a lot. BUT...we're really lucky to live in a city that has a lot of pre-screenings for FREE!! Eric's co-worker, Justin, is an avid site checker for free movies, and often tips Eric off to the good ones. So, last night we got to see a pre-screening of "The Blind Side" for FREE!

Honestly, after seeing it, I would have totally paid the $20 for both eric and I. It was really good. Call me a sucker for motherly love, football, the south, adoption, etc. But I had to hold back the tears pratically the whole movie. The release date is November 20th, and I would say you should DEFINITELY see this one!

26.2 (take #2)

He did it! He made it 26.2 miles and I couldn't have been more proud! I, honestly, don't think our bodies were really created to run that far, but after all the time and training he put into it he did it!

Here he is at about mile 11! Almost 1/2 way and look'n good!

This is about mile 25! I got to cheer him on and say just ONE MORE MILE!!

Here he comes, on the home stretch!

Crossing the finish line!!

Saying "hi" right after he crossed the finish line!

Putting the sticker on the car! He was really so excited about this! Too bad it's the car I drive around most of the time! I'm ok with people thinking I'm a marathoner! :)

Celebration dinner at Montgomery Inn!

Adeline Elizabeth Norris

She joined us October 31st at 11:44pm and weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz 21 inches long. She is so sweet and her big sister already loves giving her kisses! I am so excited to have another niece!

26.2

Friday, October 16, 2009

This weekend we're headed to Columbus (Eric's home). He's been training for MONTHS and it's finally time for him to run 26.2 MILES!! What!?! I think he's insane, but he's very excited/really ready for it to be over with!

It will be 32 degrees race day, so I just hope he doesn't get really sick next week! :)

If you think about it, pray for him!
